Measuring instructions for Redi Shade Simple Fit Products
General Guidelines
- Measure each window individually, size variances are common.
- Record width to the nearest 1/8" (round down); Simple Fit length = 72".
- We recommend using a metal tape measure. Do not use a cloth tape.
Step 1: Determine Type of Mount
Inside Mount
Your shades are mounted inside the window casing for a more finished look. This is the required mounting option for Redi Shade Simple Fit products.
Step 2: Measuring
Inside Mount
- Measure the exact inside width of the window frame from one inside edge to the other at the top of the window. Record this measurement.
- Measure the exact height in three different places from top edge of opening to top of sill: left, center, right. Record the longest measurement.
- Do not take any deductions for clearance. The factory will take necessary deductions for proper fit.
