Before Purchase

  • Can I place my order by phone?
    Sorry, at this time we do not accept phone orders. Ordering online is easy. Your order can be placed In just 3 easy steps
  • What is your order cancellation policy?
    Cancellations to your order can be done only before your order has gone into production. Production generally  begins 6 - 24 hours after your order is placed. If you need to cancel or modify an order, please call our Customer Service department. We will do our best to assist your needs. However, if your order has been put into production, we may not be able to adjust or cancel your order.
     
  • Do you accept international orders?
    At this moment we do not accept international orders, however Redi Shades are sold at international retail stores. For a full list of retailers,  click here.
     
  • Where can I purchase Redi Shades?
    Redi Shades can be purchased on our website, but if you prefer to go to a retailer here is a full list. Redi Shade Extra is currently only available at The Home Depot and Lowe's retailers.

  • How do I check the status of my order?
    If you registered with our website before placing an order, you can log in and track your shipment through your order history. Register now and you will be able to track past orders.
     
  • How soon can I expect my order?
    Your order takes 2 - 3 business days to process. After processing  your order will take 3 to 7 business days to arrive.

Troubleshooting

  •  What can I do to remove adhesive residue should it occur?
    If residue is sticky, try rolling off the residue using your fingers.

    If the first technique does not work, apply rubbing alcohol to residue and let sit for 10 minutes. Next, with a putty knife or spatula, remove residue gently to avoid damage to your window or frame. 

    If the first two suggestions do not work, use Goo Gone (product found in many hardware stores). Apply Goo Gone directly to residue with soft pad (folded cloth or paper towel). Let soak for 10 minutes. Then, with a putty knife or spatula remove residue. Use a gentle touch to avoid damage to window or frame.
     
    Note: Plain white towel are recommended, due to the transferring of ink that may occur from using printed towels.
     
  • My Easy Touch shade installed with tape pad will not stay in place, what should I do?
    If your Easy Touch Cellular Shade will not stay up properly with tape pads, we recommend using the supplied brackets for installation. If you need additional installation brackets, they can be obtained by calling Customer Service
     
  • The head rail on my Easy Touch shade is sagging in the middle, how can I fix it?
    If your Easy Touch head rail is sagging in the middle, you likely need to install an additional mounting bracket to act as a center support bracket. Please contact Customer Service if you require additional brackets.
  • My Easy Touch shade stopped working, what should I do?
    If your Easy Touch shade failed to function properly please visit our Warranty information. 

    Please do not return the shade to your local retailer; please contact our Customer Service Department.

  •  What does inside or outside mount mean?
    Inside mount refers to a shade that is mounted inside of your window frame.

    Outside mount refers to a shade mounted outside your window frame. It is typically used in two situations, if there is insufficient mounting space for the shade or if there are abstractions inside of your window frame.

Returns & Refunds

  • How do I exchange or return an item?
    Returns are accepted only with prior authorization; you only pay return shipping. If we made a mistake or if your claim relates to shipping damage, we'll also refund you for the return shipping cost . You will be given a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) and a shipping address to return the products. Returns must have an RGA number for a refund or exchange. Save your shipping carton(s). Redi Shade is not responsible for supplying shipping materials, cartons etc. for warranty or non-warranty returns.
     
  • Can I return my custom shade?
    We encourage you to review your order carefully. The products are built to your specifications, the order cannot be canceled, refunded, or returned once it has been manufactured. Therefore, it is important that you are sure of your purchase decisions prior to finalizing your order.
     
  • If I am not satisfied with my purchase, what do I do?

  •  What do I do if shades are damaged during shipping?

  • What are the most energy efficient shades?
    Cellular shades are the most energy efficient. However, all Redi Shade product help block some or all sunlight which may help reduce the amount of heat entering from windows.
     
  • I have young children and safety is a big concern for me. What products should I consider?
    Redi Shade cordless products are great for small children and pets. They’re easy to install and require no hardware. Redi Shade Original products have been recognized for their safety and have been awarded a Safety Seal of Approval. Click here to learn more.
     
  • What types of window shades are most effective to darken a room?
    Most Redi Shade can help darken rooms but for increases or complete darkens Room Darkening or Blackout shades are the most effective.
     
  • What is a custom window shade?
    If you exclusively design, fabricate and install a window treatment for a specific window, then it is known as custom window treatment; this design allows the proper projection, proportion, operation and finally beauty.
     
  • How do cellular shades save energy?
    Cellular shade fabric is made up of honeycomb shaped cells that trap air. This creates an insulating layer on the window. So in the winter your warm heated air will stay in your house while the cold air coming through the window is stopped by the shades. In the summer the reverse happens.
     
  • My windows are wider than 48”; can I still use Redi Shade?
    Yes! For windows larger than our 36” or 48” wide shades, simply overlap two or more shades to cover your windows.
     
  •  Is there a Redi Shade product for larger windows or sliding glass doors?
    Redi Shade Extra contains two extra long pleated window shades measuring 48" wide by 90" long (each shade) which fit sliding doors or extra long windows up to 7 feet long. It has the same easy to install feature as our other Redi Shade products; simply Peel & Stick. No hardware or tools are required to hang Redi Shade Extra in your home. Plus, Redi Shade Extra is cordless; it's an easy and safe solution for any home.
     
  • How do I clean my Vinyl Redi Shades?
    The vinyl product can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. To clean the fabric or vinyl products, we recommend using an upholstery brush vacuum attachment to keep your shades free of dust. For soiled areas use a clean cloth damped with warm water and a mild detergent to spot clean.
     
  • If I want to paint my Original Redi Shades, what type of paint works best?
    Any types of spray paint or craft paints adhere well to the Original and Fabric shades.

  •  How do I properly use my Easy Touch Shade?
    When raising and lowering your Easy Touch shade it is important that you keep the bottom rail level while pressing the button to raise or lower your shade. Tilting either side-to-side or front-to-back can cause the cords to malfunction.
     
  • Does the Easy Touch product provide any energy savings?
    Yes, your Easy Touch product can provide energy savings: light filtering cellular shades trap air in the cells, providing a cooling affect in summer and warming affect in winter; and room darkening cellular and vinyl products also decrease the amount of heat entering a window from direct sunlight; however there are several factors that affect the amount of energy savings achieved by any window covering, such as the exposure of the window, the type of window, how well the home is insulated, whether the window covering was installed properly, etc.
     
  • How do I clean my Easy Touch shade?
    The cellular and pleated fabric Easy Touch shades can be kept clean by light vacuuming with an upholstery attachment. For stains, use a mild fabric stain cleaner following the same directions as you would in cleaning fabric furniture or clothing.
     
  • How do I clip my Vinyl Redi Shades?
    Gather the shade to the height you desire, apply the clip but simply do not include the bottom slat.
     
  • Can I use Redi Shade to cover a 1/4 arch window?
    Yes, you can cover a 1/4 arch window with our Original product (paper or fabric) by trimming it to size, adhering it to one side with the adhesive strip, then applying a double-stick tape to the other end of the shade to secure it in place.
