What can I do to remove adhesive residue should it occur?
- (Note; before using any of these recommendations, please test in a small area first.)
- If after removing your Redi Shade you find adhesive residue, before trying the suggestions listed below we recommend you try to roll the residue off with your fingers. If the residue is still sticky this technique should have good results.

Additional suggestions:
- Goo Gone (not to be confused with Goof Off) is a very gentle product and is recommended for vinyl windows. Apply Goo Gone to the residue by saturating a soft pad (folded cloth or paper towel) and applying it to the residue, letting it soak in. The process may take approximately 10 minutes of soaking to remove the adhesive. This process should soften the residue for removal. Gently use a plastic putty knife or spatula to remove the residue. Use a gentle touch to avoid damage to your window or frame.

- Alcohol - It can be applied in the same manner as Goo Gone. The alcohol will harden the residue for removal from the window.

- Regular cooking oil (the less color the better) - Saturating a cloth and applying it to the adhesive residue. It should soften the adhesive enough to roll it off with your finger. Again, this process could take approximately 10 minutes of soaking to remove the adhesive.

- Just a note; if paper towels are used, they should be plain paper towels and not printed because the ink from the print could transfer.
